Volunteer Donor Engagement Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking a mission-driven and personable Volunteer Donor Engagement Specialist to support our outreach efforts through donor calls and personalized emails. This is a meaningful opportunity for someone who enjoys connecting with people, sharing impact stories, and helping grow support for a cause that matters.

You’ll play a vital role in strengthening donor relationships and helping sustain and expand our programs.

Key Responsibilities

Donor Calls

• Make outbound calls to prospective and current supporters
• Share impact updates and stories in a warm, authentic way
• Thank donors and build lasting relationships
• Invite supporters to deepen their involvement
• Track outreach and notes in a simple system

Email Outreach

• Send personalized follow-up and outreach emails
• Support ongoing fundraising campaigns
• Help maintain consistent, mission-aligned messaging

Relationship Building

• Help identify engaged supporters for deeper involvement
• Provide feedback on donor responses and trends

Ideal Volunteer

• Strong communicator (written and verbal)
• Comfortable speaking with new people
• Friendly, empathetic, and relationship-oriented
• Organized and reliable
• Passionate about nonprofit or social impact work
• Prior experience in fundraising, outreach, or sales is helpful—but not required
