Reading Volunteer Opportunities in North London Primary Schools

Do you believe every child deserves the chance to fall in love with reading?

Join Bookmark, a national literacy charity, and help primary school children build confidence, imagination, and a lifelong love of books.

As a Reading volunteer, you’ll support a child aged 5–11 who needs help with reading. You’ll deliver one or two fun 30-minute sessions a week for at least six or 12 weeks, either online or in person.

You’ll bring stories to life through games, conversation, and encouragement, helping children find joy and pride in their progress.

We provide full training, ongoing support, and access to a wonderful library of interactive reading resources, so you’ll always feel confident and inspired.
