Volunteering with Hospice Patients and Families

Here is a fulfilling opportunity to serve your community by joining our team as a Hospice Volunteer! Volunteers are a strong foundation of our HCA Midwest Hospice & Family Care team assisting patients and families through their end of life journey in many ways. We have opportunities to help both in Kansas and Missouri in the surrounding Kansas City metro areas. All hospice volunteers will receive free training and support from Hospice professionals, prior to receiving their patient assignment. You may visit at the patient's bedside: listening/sharing stories, engaging in conversation, playing games, reading books, building puzzles, or painting nails. You can also help in our office support with patient mailings, filing paperwork, or providing check-in call to patients.
