About the Role

Our Volunteer Safety and Security Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining a safe environment for youth, volunteers, and staff. This individual will oversee safety protocols, monitor compliance, and respond to security concerns during programs and events. The Volunteer Safety and Security Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for safety and security matters during programs and events.The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a secure space for all.

What You’ll do

• Apply R.O.Y.O’s mission, vision, and values when implementing safety and security measures.
• Monitor program areas to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Respond promptly to safety concerns, incidents, or emergencies and escalate when necessary.
• Conduct routine checks of facilities, equipment, and entry points for security risks.
• Assist in developing and updating emergency response plans and safety guidelines.
• Train volunteers and staff on safety procedures and reporting protocols.
