ROLE OVERVIEW
Community Educators are volunteer public speakers who deliver engaging, Alzheimer’s Association-prepared presentations to a variety of audiences. Through education, you’ll raise awareness, connect families to resources, and help change the way people understand and approach dementia.
KEY ACTIVITIES
QUALIFICATIONS
✅ Strong communication and presentation skills
✅ Comfortable with technology and virtual delivery tools
✅ Ability to collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners
✅ Passion for the Alzheimer’s Association’s mission (personal/professional experience a plus)
COMMITMENT
🗓️ Minimum 1-year term leading monthly events
🗓️ Goal of 12 presentations per year
🎓 Participation in training and continued education
🔁 Terms renewed annually through staff goal setting

We provide structured training, mentoring, and all presentation materials. Some resources are available in multiple languages.
