Direct Patient Care Hospice Volunteer

Location: Patient Homes, Assisted Living, or Skilled Nursing Facilities

Time Commitment: Flexible | Volunteer-Driven

Role Overview:

Direct Patient Care Volunteers offer presence, comfort, and emotional support to patients and families during the hospice journey. Volunteers are an essential extension of the care team, providing companionship and kindness.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

• • Sit with patients and offer companionship
  • Engage in conversation, reading, music, or quiet presence
  • Provide caregiver respite (non-medical)
  • Support emotional well-being of patients and families
