About NAEHD: The National Alliance on Ending Health Disparities (NAEHD) is a newly established organization with a mission to support and empower individuals, healthcare professionals, and decision makers through research, education, and advocacy efforts to eliminate health disparities in all communities. NAEHD aims to serve as a collective voice for all stakeholders, ensuring that everyone with a vested interest has a seat at the table and an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to our mission in an effort to end health disparities.

About the Treasurer’s role: The purpose of this role is to oversee financial management and provide fiscal guidance to the board.

Key Responsibilities:

• Co-develop and monitor the organization’s budget alongside the Founder/CEO.
• Present financial reports and recommendations at board meetings to ensure transparency, in collaboration with the organization’s founder/executive director.
• Collaborate with the Founder/CEO on financial strategies and initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with IRS financial regulations and reporting requirements.

Time Commitment: The expectation is that the Treasurer will commit at least 5 hours a month. while the organization is still growing. This also includes time for required board meetings, leading strategic discussions, and representation of the organization at external events. The Treasurer may be occasionally expected to provide additional support beyond the 5-hour monthly commitment to address any emerging financial matters.

Ideal Qualifications:

• A commitment to the mission of eliminating health disparities.
• Experience in finance/accounting, or business management.
• Familiarity with non-profit finances is ideal but not required.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in previously serving as a Treasurer is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with board members, staff, leadership, and stakeholders to advance the mission.
