Create Video Documentaries or Shorts: For YouTube, TikTok & Social Media.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking creative volunteers to help transform thought-provoking articles and podcasts into engaging short-form videos for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other social media platforms.

Mini-Documentary Video Producer & Editor

We are creating educational videos for the Hedonisia Lava to Lotus Portfolio of book and web projects. They have a principal theme of "pleasure and purpose", how to make the world a better place while enjoying your life.

We seek applicants who are proficient with video editing or using AI video creators. This is a perfect volunteer project for someone who likes to make mini-documentaries.

As a volunteer, you can use your creativity, AI video, image and animation tools to help make an informational video about the project you are interested in. We have some photos, video excerpts, interview material and screen shots of web pages.

Trigger Warning: We are looking for volunteers who support free and open discussion about issues that often feel divisive.

Your task is to create a 3-10 minute information video. Please choose from the list below and let us know in your application which project resonates with you!

Hedonisia Lava to Lotus Web Projects

1. Hedonisia.com: Free speech and diversity workshops for business and individuals.
2. HedonisiaHawaii.com: Pre and Post Volcano Creative Community.
3. Diverse People AND Opinions: Communication tools for a diverse workplace, social situations and relationships.
4. EcoSensual: Sex-positive natural birth control and fertility calendar.
5. World Art Erotica: Virtual museum of sensual art and literature from around the world.
6. Gender Talks Substack. We wish to create video shorts about the different articles in our Substack. Simply choose the article or podcast that resonates with you and you can use the article as a script to make the video short!

Hedonisia Book Trilogy:

These three non-fiction books are open-source projects. As a volunteer, you enjoy free access to the manuscripts.

2. Cougars for World Peace: Benefits to Society of Intergenerational Friendships
3. Warrior WoMan: A Yin-Yang Path to Power, Pleasure and Peace for the Planet

Volunteer Responsibilities

Depending on your interests and skills, you may:

• Create 2-3 minute video shorts or longer documentaries
• Transform written content into engaging visual stories using narration, text, images, animation, AI tools, or stock footage
• Edit videos for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Facebook
• Create compelling titles, captions, and thumbnails
• Assist with script writing and storyboarding
• Create longer 5-15 minute educational videos based on chapters from the Hedonisia Book Trilogy
• Collaborate remotely with the project founder on content ideas and creative direction

Desired Qualifications

We welcome volunteers from diverse backgrounds. Useful skills include:

• Video editing (CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Canva, etc.)
• Short-form content creation
• Motion graphics and animation
• Social media marketing
• AI-assisted video creation tools
• Graphic design
• Storytelling and script writing
• Journalism, sociology, psychology, communications, gender studies, media studies, or related fields

No formal credentials are required. Enthusiasm, creativity, and reliability are more important than professional experience.

Volunteers may contribute a few hours per month or take on larger ongoing projects depending on availability.
