Do you have a strong financial background and a passion for teaching and giving back?
We are seeking a dedicated Volunteer Financial Literacy Facilitator to lead small-group discussions for adults who want to build confidence around money and basic personal finance. This is a meaningful opportunity to use your knowledge and communication skills to make a real difference in people’s lives.
About the Role
- Facilitate engaging, discussion-based sessions with 6–8 adult participants
- Guide conversations on core financial topics such as budgeting, saving, credit, and financial decision-making - the curriculum is already developed along with supporting handouts, assignments, and answer sheets.
- Create a supportive, respectful learning environment where participants feel comfortable asking questions
- Sessions are conversational and interactive—this is not a lecture-based role
Who We’re Looking For
- A strong background in finance, accounting, banking, investing, taxation, real estate, and retirement planning, or related fields
- Excellent communication and language skills
- A genuine love of teaching, mentoring, and helping others learn
- Patient, approachable, and comfortable leading group discussions
- Reliable and committed to volunteer service
What You’ll Gain
- The satisfaction of giving back and empowering others through education
- A chance to share your expertise in a meaningful, people-focused way
- Connection with a mission-driven, not-for-profit organization
- Personal fulfillment that comes from making a lasting impact
Compensation
This is a volunteer position. While the role is unpaid, the rewards come in the form of purpose, connection, and the knowledge that your time and skills are helping others build a stronger financial future.
If you believe financial knowledge is a powerful tool—and you enjoy helping others learn—we would love to hear from you. Diane.Drey@scorevolunteer.org
