At Gentiva Hospice, our mission is to honor the life of individuals and their families facing a life-limiting illness.
Do you have a passion for caring for others and are looking for a way to make a difference? Then you have come to the right place. Gentiva provides volunteers/ students with the opportunities to gain experience, insight in the health field & preparing students with the importance of real-life patient interaction.
Volunteer you time & your talent.
Our volunteers are an important part of our hospice care team; they help improve the quality of life of our patients, families and their caregivers by enriching their life with companionship, socialization & mental simulation. Activities that are helpful but are not limited are reading and writing letters, playing card games, playing/ listening to music, knitting/ crocheting or any way you can interact with your companion, but most importantly that you provide support during their most important time of their lives.
Volunteers are the heart of the team.
Your ability to care & help others at the end of life is tremendously profound and rewarding AND we could not do this without you. For questions about this opportunity, please reach out and someone will reach out!
