Volunteer Recruiter (Remote | Volunteer Position) 📍 Global | 🕐 Flexible Hours | 🌍 emgprd.org
About the Role
Are you a people person with a talent for spotting great candidates? As a Volunteer Recruiter at emgprd.org, you will be the first point of contact for people who want to make a difference — helping us grow our global community of volunteers across all departments.
This is a fully remote, volunteer position with flexible hours, ideal for anyone looking to gain hands-on recruiting experience while contributing to a meaningful cause.
What You'll Do
- Review incoming volunteer applications and profiles on platforms like Idealist and others
- Conduct initial outreach and screening conversations with applicants
- Match candidates to open volunteer roles based on their skills and interests
- Guide applicants through our 3-step onboarding process
- Maintain clear and organized records of applicants and their status
- Collaborate with team leads to identify current recruitment needs
What We're Looking For
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus!)
- Experience in HR, recruiting, or community management — or a strong desire to learn
- Reliable, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting
- Familiarity with tools like Slack, Google Workspace, or similar platforms
- Genuine passion for environmental protection, humanitarian work, or NGO missions
