Become a Health & Wellness Volunteer!

The Area Agencies on Aging provides services to empower older adults to live independently and thrive in their communities across 13 counties (Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Frio, Gillespie, Guadalupe, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, McMullen, Medina, and Wilson). We are funded by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and offer health programs at various sites for the benefit of all older adults.

Volunteers will -

• help facilitate evidence-based health programs
• be provided free training and certification
• work in various settings across different counties (flexible schedule and choice of location)
• assist with data collection

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Pass a background check.
• Follow HIPAA privacy rules.
• Be reliable.
• Have good communication.
