Adult Volunteers needed to help care for cats at Petco Mission Viejo

Mornings: Monday-Sunday from 9 am to 11 am to Clean Kennels:

Replenish the food & water, scoop the litter boxes, clean the kennel and, most importantly, play with the cats and give them lots of love. Although scooping litter boxes & cleaning kennels isn’t too glamorous, the love and reward you’ll get from the cats will more than make up for it! Previous or current cat ownership is preferred. This requires a 1 1/2-2 hour commitment. Training provided.

Evenings, Monday-Sunday, arrive sometime between 5 pm and 7 pm to play with the cats:

Let the cats stretch their legs while you check their food & water, scoop their litter boxes and play with them. This does not require as much of a time commitment as morning cleanings. Previous or current cat ownership is preferred. This requires 1 1/2-2 hour commitment. Training provided.

Transport: Schedule varies. Transporting cats from one store location to another.

Data Entry: Weekends during adoption events to help input adoptions

Foster Care:

Volunteer from home! We are always in need of people to foster kittens and adult cats. This can be a 3-week to 3-month commitment and is very rewarding. Fosters are responsible for socializing the kitten/cat and transportation to/from the vet for vaccinations and spay/neuter surgery. Vet bills are covered by the rescue. Support is always a phone call away!
