Be a Lunch Greeter to Seniors!

Senior Friendship Centers is looking for outgoing volunteers who love engaging with seniors to help support our daily lunch program - an essential service for seniors. We are looking for a volunteer each day who can help with prep and clean-up by rolling silverware, wiping tables, and other light duties, as well as help greet, welcome, and engage with the arriving seniors and ensure they each sign in. Lunch is served daily, and we have many regular attendees. We are looking for volunteers who would enjoy getting to know and building relationships with our lunch patrons.

Schedule:

• Weekly on a Mon, Tue, or Fri, 11:30am - 12:45pm

Requirements:

• Able to commit to a weekly 11:30am - 12:45pm shift.
• Have an outgoing personality and ability to engage with seniors.
• Be reliable and have attention to detail.
• Complete required training (provided) to ensure safety of meal participants.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with seniors.
• Ability to interact professionally with all staff, clients, volunteers, and community partners.
• Friendly, flexible, able to handle challenges, and able to work with limited supervision.
• Must possess cultural awareness and sensitivity for all individuals and groups.
