Do you have a heart for service and a passion for connecting with older adults in the Hispanic and Latino community? Join the Second Family Program, a compassionate in-home volunteer initiative supporting older adults living with—or at risk of dementia.
Volunteer Role:
- Engage and visit with older adults who are socially isolated or home bound
- Provide friendly companionship through consistent in-home visits
- Offer meaningful socialization by accompanying older adults to medical appointments or grocery stores
- Spend quality time at home playing games, doing puzzles, reading, or simply talking!
- Regularly check-in with Care Team Coordinator to identify and address emerging needs
Qualifications
- Must be bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Reliable transportation required
- Compassionate, dependable, and respectful of diverse backgrounds
- No experience necessary – training provided by CarePartners
