Position Summary:
Wish granters are essential to fulfilling each child’s wish. They work in teams of two or three and help the wish child determine their heartfelt wish. Wish granters create an exceptional wish experience through building a relationship with the child and their family. Wish children come from all different backgrounds and cultures, so with the help of bilingual wish granters, a wish child can communicate in a language that they are most comfortable with during the wish process! No experience needed! We will provide training.

Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Minnesota! Below you will find the steps necessary to start the volunteer process.
Let us know if you have any questions you would like answered in a call after we process your application, otherwise, we will send you a background check. We will pay for the $30 background check unless you let us know that you would like to cover the cost as a donation.
All of our trainings are offered virtually. This includes trainings for the roles of Wish Granter, Airport Greeter, and Shopping Spree Assistants.
If you are interested in one-time opportunities/events, you do not need to go through this entire process. If you prefer this type of volunteer opportunity, still submit your application so you can be entered into our volunteer database. Let me know if you have any questions.
