VOLUNTEERS NEEDED-Bexar Hospice

At Bexar Hospice, we provide our patients who are diagnoised with a terminal illness with physical, emotional, and spiritual care. Our patients need volunteers like yourself to help comfort them on journey to peace.

The People Who Love People (P.W.L.P) Volunteer Program at Bexar Hospice allow you to share your compassion while offering invaluable support to our patients and their families. Volunteer hours vary based on your schedule.

Volunteer Opportunities include:

• Patient Companionship
• Caregiver Relief
• Emtional and Spiritual Support
• Music and Art Therapy
• Light Meal Preparation
• Caregiver Respite
• Light Housekeeping
• Bible Reading
• Gardening
• Letter Mailing
• Community Education
• Playing Cards/Board Games
• And More

Each of our volunteers must meet the same requirements and standards as our hospice staff performing similar activities. Come join our P.W.L.P volunteer program and experience the fullfillment of making a difference in someone's life.

Volunteers must provide the following:

• Resume
• Current Driver's License
• Proof of Auto Insurance
• Covid vaccination card (if applicable)
• I-9 Verification such as passport/passport card, social security card, and/or birth certificate
