You can help welcome and comfort newborns by knitting or crocheting caps and blankets to help celebrate these new little ones. This is such a wonderful way to be of service to babies here in our community and do it from your own home in your free time.
There are no specific patterns or color requirements so you can make the most of your creativity. You will deliver your completed projects to the RSVP office - either as an ongoing assignment or a one-time donation. Just complete the RSVP enrollment form to be registered as a volunteer for the project. You will then track the hours you donate to the project each month and have the Volunteer Coordinator at RSVP sign your timesheet when you deliver your blankets and caps.
This volunteer opportunity is offered through Davis Co. Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and is for people age 55 or better. Benefits of volunteering through RSVP include mileage reimbursement for travel between your home and the RSVP office when delivering your blankets & caps. We also provide our volunteers with supplemental insurance coverage while serving and ongoing recognition events throughout the year.
Please come join us in RSVP and help make a difference in the lives of people here in Davis County! Reach out today!
