📞 Volunteer Needed – Weekly Check In Caller for Nursing Homes

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable volunteer to make check‑in phone calls once per week. You may choose any day that best fits your schedule.

⭐ Role Overview

As a Check‑In Caller, you will contact nursing facilities where our hospice patients reside. Your role is to speak briefly with the nurse on duty to:

• • Confirm patient status (list of names will be provided)
  • Ask if any patient is not doing well
  • Determine if anyone may benefit from an additional nursing visit

This communication helps ensure our patients receive timely, attentive care — and your calls make a real difference.

🏡 Facilities

We serve 19 nursing home buildings.

Volunteers may choose how many facilities they would like to be responsible for — even starting with just one or two is greatly appreciated.

⏰ Time Commitment

• • 1 day per week
  • Flexible schedule
  • Each round of calls typically takes a short amount of time, depending on the number of buildings assigned.
