What This Position Is For
Bedrock Health Group is seeking a Workforce Coordinator (Volunteer) to support the organization and coordination of our volunteer workforce. This opportunity is designed for individuals with experience or strong interest in workforce coordination, team operations, volunteer management, or organizational development who want to contribute to a healthcare-forward mission in a regulated environment.

Position Summary
The Workforce Coordinator will support the planning, coordination, and day-to-day organization of Bedrock's volunteer team. This includes supporting onboarding processes, tracking volunteer assignments and availability, maintaining workforce records, facilitating communication across teams, and helping ensure that volunteers are supported, engaged, and aligned with organizational priorities.
This role is centered on internal workforce coordination and does not involve direct client, patient, or provider-facing responsibilities, nor access to protected or personally identifiable information.
This position is ideal for someone who wants to build experience in workforce coordination, people operations, organizational development, or nonprofit team management within a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the coordination and organization of Bedrock's volunteer workforce
- Assist with volunteer onboarding processes, orientation materials, and intake workflows
- Track volunteer availability, assignments, and engagement across active initiatives
- Maintain organized workforce records, rosters, and internal tracking documentation
- Help facilitate communication and task alignment across volunteers and team leads
- Support scheduling, check-ins, and coordination of volunteer activities
- Help identify workforce needs, capacity gaps, and opportunities to improve volunteer engagement and retention
- Assist with developing and organizing internal processes, templates, and coordination tools related to workforce management
- Contribute to special projects tied to Bedrock's organizational development and long-term growth
- Support the preparation of workforce summaries, updates, and status briefs for leadership review

Qualifications
Required
- Prior experience coordinating or managing teams, volunteers, or group projects (1–2 experiences minimum, academic, professional, or volunteer)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to track people, tasks, and timelines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, follow direction, and manage multiple priorities
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
- Interest in workforce coordination, people operations, team management, or organizational development
- Comfortable facilitating communication across multiple team members or volunteers
Preferred
- Experience with volunteer coordination, team management, or people operations
- Current graduate student, recent graduate, or working professional with relevant experience
- Coursework or background in human resources, organizational development, business, healthcare administration, public health, public administration, or related fields
- Familiarity with workforce management or collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Asana, Trello, Google Workspace, Monday.com, or similar)
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or scheduling and tracking platforms
- Interest in healthcare operations, nonprofit development, or mission-driven organizational growth
Time Commitment
- Flexible volunteer schedule with a minimum of 3–5 hours per week based on organizational needs and candidate availability
