EmpowHERto partners with black and Latina girls and young women from underserved communities between 14-21, empowering them with the necessary tools to thrive and effect positive systemic change.
We are seeking a passionate and organized Lead Assistant to support the successful execution of our Data Program. This is a hybrid volunteer opportunity, requiring approximately 10 hours per week, offering a valuable experience to contribute to empowering the next generation of female tech leaders.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and delivery of program materials and resources.
- Provide logistical support during program sessions, both online and potentially in-person.
- Help coordinate communication with participants, mentors, and guest speakers.
- Track participant attendance and engagement.
- Assist in the setup and management of online learning platforms and tools. Manage program-related emails and inquiries.
- Assist with data entry and record keeping. Help organize and maintain program documentation.
- Assist with social media posting and community engagement.
- Provide technical assistance to participants during program sessions.
- Offer support and encouragement to participants throughout the program.
- Help to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist in the distribution and collection of evaluation surveys. Help compile program feedback and data.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Passion for empowering young women and promoting diversity in technology.
- Strong interest in Data.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using online communication and collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Workspace, Slack).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable and punctual.
- Experience working with youth or in educational settings (preferred).
