    Role Summary

    The Board Member with a Fundraising Portfolio plays a vital role in advancing the mission and sustainability of the organization. This individual provides leadership, vision, and oversight for fundraising strategies, helping to secure resources that support programs, operations, and long-term growth.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with other Board members and Staff to set fundraising goals aligned with the organization’s strategic plan.
    • Identify, cultivate, and steward donor relationships, including individuals, businesses, and foundations.
    • Lead or support fundraising initiatives, campaigns, and special events.
    • Encourage all Board members to participate in fundraising activities, including making personal contributions and leveraging networks.
    • Monitor fundraising performance and provide regular reports to the Board.
    • Assist in identifying grant opportunities and supporting staff or volunteers with applications.
    • Advocate for the organization in the community to expand visibility and donor engagement.
