Volunteer Marketing Generalist

Awaken Pittsburgh is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to fostering

well-being, empathy, and compassion for all. We achieve our mission by teaching and

encouraging mindfulness and meditation practices. Through our programs, we aim to

empower individuals and communities to thrive in a fast-paced world, promoting a

culture of mindfulness that benefits everyone.

About This Role:

• Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns to promote

  mindfulness and meditation programs.

• Contribute to social media management, including content creation, scheduling

  posts, and engaging with our community.

• Support event marketing efforts, including digital promotions, event logistics, and

  on-site assistance.

• Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and feedback to guide

  marketing strategies.

• Collaborate with the team to create marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and email newsletters.
• Analyze and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and strategies.

About You:

● Have the equivalent of or are currently pursuing an associates, bachelors, or masters degree (degree field in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred but not necessary).

● A strong interest in mindfulness, meditation, and the mission of Awaken

Pittsburgh.

● Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

● Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.

● Creative thinker with attention to detail.

● Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

● Proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to learn new software as needed.
