Home Fire Campaign Saves Lives!

Just one day of your life could change someone else's life forever!

Join the Red Cross disaster teamto help make homes safer from Home Fires. In teams of 3, we will connect with individuals who have made appointments to have their smoke alarms checked to ensure proper working order. We will install free smoke alarms in homes that need them and we will also conduct a short fire safety education program for the family.

This is a fun and rewarding group activity for groups of any size!! Individuals also welcome to sign up, you don't have to have a group to participate!! Won't you come out and help us make homes safer from Home Fires!

Home fires claim seven lives every day, but having working smoke alarms can cut the risk of death by half.

That’s why the American Red Cross is rallying volunteers to install free smoke alarms nationwide, as part of our Home Fire Campaign program. This is an ongoing activity for individual volunteers who can set which days per month they want to do the free smoke alarms installations and help families create escape plans while share fire safety information.

We are looking for individuals or groups that would like to do this on a regular basis or as a one-time activity. We have lots of people who have made appointments and are just waiting for a Red Cross volunteer to come out and visit them.
