Lead Journalist Internship OR Team Member

We are looking to connect with a new talented writer! This position can be done remotely, however, you MUST live in the United States to be considered.

You also must be available at least 5 hours per week for this internship.

A few typical responsibilities as the lead journalist for CBATES include:

• Writing thought provoking articles that will be featured in our newsletter of 700+ readers and social media platforms
• Reviewing press releases before they are submitted
• Performing interviews for written material when needed
• Proofreading newsletter
• Helping creatively lead other writers that volunteer for the organization

Some things we prefer, but not require, in applicants are:

• Preferably are currently majoring in OR have a degree in either english or communications
• Experience in working with newsletters/any other published media
• Flexible availability

This role requires basic knowledge in either Google docs or Microsoft word and proficient writing skills. You MUST live in the United States to apply.
