Welcome Desk - Weekdays/Weekends

The Watershed Institute for Environmental Advocacy, Science and Education is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving and protecting New Jersey's waterways. Our beautiful Platinum LEED-certified building is open for both public and programmed visitation. We are looking for dedicated and friendly individuals to be the first face of the organization that our visitors encounter. Weekday Welcome Desk shifts are 9-1 or 1-5. Weekend (and holiday) Welcome Desk shifts are 10-1 or 1-4. Duties include, but are not limited to, greeting visitors to the building, explaining basic parts of our mission ("what is a watershed," for example), providing information about our 10 miles of trails, helping with sales at the nature gift shop, answering both phone and in person questions and more. Minimum age is 16. We look forward to welcoming you to our Watershed family of volunteers!
