Dog Wing Cleaner/Caretaker

The Naperville Area Humane Society’s in-shelter volunteers work directly with our homeless animals.

As one of our in-shelter volunteers, you will be at the forefront of helping keep our animals healthy, both mentally and physically. It is only through the help of our volunteers that NAHS is able to help so many animals find their forever homes each year!

We are always in-need of help with cleaning and caretaking for our dog wing (dog kennels and dog rooms). These shifts are daily and are from 8:00 am through 5:00 pm. We especially need help with 8am to 10.30am volunteer shift. We ask our volunteers to commit to a regular weekly shift, if at all possible. You will assist the Animal Care staff in providing the best care possible by providing healthy living spaces through daily cleaning and sanitizing of dog kennels and rooms rooms and condos while the dogs and puppies await their forever homes. Dog cleaners/caretakers may go on to be trained to become dog walkers!
