Become a Volunteer with Lighthouse Hospice!
Make a lasting difference in someone’s life. We’re seeking kind, compassionate volunteers to provide comfort and connection to our patients and their families. All training and ongoing support are provided by our Volunteer Coordinator. All you need to bring is your heart.

Legacy Project Volunteer Needed
Do you enjoy sewing, crafting, or creating meaningful keepsakes? Are you looking for a way to use your talents to support families during an important time?
Lighthouse Hospice is seeking compassionate volunteers to assist with our Legacy Project program. Legacy Project Volunteers help create special keepsakes for patients and their loved ones, including memory pillows, memory teddy bears, hand in hand portraits, and other personalized remembrance items.
All training and supplies will be provided.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and automotive insurance, if traveling to make patient visits.
- Successful completion of a background check is required.
- Volunteers are not paid employees and do not receive compensation for their time.
- Currently assisting individuals in the Chicago Western Suburbs.
