Fundraising Coordinator - Fundraise for our Youth

Overview:

We are seeking a Fundraising Coordinator to lead and implement effective fundraising strategies that support Build Up SC's mission of preparing youth for adulthood and expanding their opportunities after high school. This role focuses on securing resources for initiatives such as the Back-to-School Drive in August and our ongoing youth development programs. The ideal candidate will be skilled in research, marketing strategies, public speaking, and relationship building to drive impactful fundraising campaigns.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Proficient in researching fundraising opportunities across sectors.
• Confident public speaker with experience delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
• Creative thinker with the ability to design and execute engaging fundraising events (virtual and in-person).
• Skilled in writing funding proposals and developing sponsorship packages.
• Strong relationship-building skills with donors, sponsors, and community partners.
• Comfortable using marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to increase visibility.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough research on potential fundraising opportunities, including grants, sponsorships, and partnerships.
• Plan and execute virtual and in-person fundraising events to drive donations and community engagement.
• Develop and maintain relationships with corporate sponsors, stakeholders, and donors.
• Write and submit compelling funding proposals to potential donors and grant agencies.
• Monitor and evaluate fundraising campaigns, analyzing data to optimize future strategies.
• Create and implement innovative campaigns to raise awareness and funding for organizational initiatives.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to align promotional strategies with fundraising goals.
• Represent Build Up SC at networking events, fostering strong connections with relevant stakeholders.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with members of the public and media contacts.

Requirements:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in fundraising campaign management or nonprofit development.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency with tools for virtual presentations and event coordination.

• Flexible schedule with availability for virtual and in-person events.
• Periodic check-in meetings with leadership and team members.
