Copy Cat😺 aka proof reader

EveryCat Health Foundation volunteers raise awareness about the need for continued feline health studies. They provide information and education about cat health that impacts pet owners and veterinary professionals.

The "Copy Cat" volunteer should have an excellent understanding of the English language. The role requires the ability to read text and determine if it clearly communicates information to the targeted audience while adhering to EveryCat's style guide requirements. The Copy Cat will be responsible for proofreading copy to fix grammatical, spelling, punctuation and formatting errors. Proof reading tasks also include verifying numerical information, such as dates or statistics and citations to ensure accuracy. The Copy Cat will also need to check links to confirm that they work.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Technological skills, including familiarity with Google applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc) or similar Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Passion for the EveryCat Health Foundation mission and commitment to making a positive impact on every cat, every day, everywhere.
• Availability to volunteer 5-10 hours per week.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work positively and encouragingly with a remote, diverse, international team.
• Commitment to regularly confirm volunteer activity with staff and volunteer team leads.
