Location: Remote (Lawrence, KS based sanctuary)
Position Summary
Shy 38 Inc., a nonprofit farm animal sanctuary, receives a monthly Google Ad Grant to help raise awareness, expand outreach, and drive donations. We are seeking a dedicated volunteer with digital marketing or Google Ads experience to help manage, optimize, and grow the impact of our Google Ad Grant account.
Preferred Experience & Skills
Prior experience with Google Ads/Google Ad Grants (nonprofit experience a plus)
Familiarity with keyword research, ad copywriting, and campaign optimization
Understanding of Google Analytics or similar tracking tools
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
Commitment to Shy 38’s mission of rescue, sanctuary, and humane education
Responsibilities
Manage and monitor the sanctuary’s Google Ad Grant account
Create and optimize ad campaigns to maximize monthly grant usage ($10K in ad spend)
Perform keyword research and write effective, mission-driven ad copy
Track campaign performance and provide basic reports/updates
Ensure compliance with Google Ad Grant policies to maintain account eligibility
Collaborate with the Founder and marketing team to align ads with sanctuary priorities (fundraising campaigns, events, humane education programs, etc.)
Commitment Requirements
Approx. 2–5 hours per week (flexible schedule, remote role)
Minimum 3–6 month commitment preferred
Reliable internet and ability to attend occasional check-ins via email or video call
