Mommy Haven is a growing nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting mothers and children through stability, reunification, and wraparound support services. We are in the early stages of building our programs and are seeking mission-aligned volunteers to help us lay a strong foundation.

About This Role

This is an unpaid, volunteer position ideal for individuals who enjoy connecting with people, building professional relationships, and helping organizations expand their network. The Networking & Outreach Assistant Volunteer will work closely with leadership to help expand Mommy Haven’s professional and community connections and support outreach efforts.

Responsibilities may include:

• Identifying and researching potential community partners, supporters, and professionals
• Assisting with outreach through email and LinkedIn messages
• Helping schedule networking meetings, calls, and informational conversations
• Maintaining a simple contact list or outreach tracker
• Supporting follow-up communications after meetings or events
• Researching relevant organizations, professionals, and community resources
• Assisting with outreach messaging and networking materials
• Other supportive tasks based on skills and availability

Qualifications:

• Strong written communication skills
• Comfortable reaching out to new people in a professional manner
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Interest in nonprofit work, community building, or mission-driven organizations
• Students, early-career professionals, and individuals interested in nonprofit networking are encouraged to apply

Time Commitment:

Flexible and discussed on an individual basis.

Compensation:

This is an unpaid volunteer position. While this role does not offer monetary compensation, volunteers gain valuable nonprofit outreach and networking experience, professional references, and the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful community mission. 🌱
