No One Dies Alone – Become a NODA Volunteer with CorsoCare!

Do you want to provide comfort and companionship to patients during their final moments? As a NODA (No

One Dies Alone) Volunteer with CorsoCare, you’ll ensure that patients are not alone at the end of life,

offering a calm and compassionate presence.

    What You’ll Do

Sit by the bedside, providing a calming presence for patients who may not be conscious or

    responsive

Offer supportive presence through gentle conversation, reading, soft music, or gentle touch

Support grieving families at the bedside, providing reassurance and compassion

Engage in life review when possible – help patients share memories, reflect on their life journey, and

    leave a meaningful legacy

    How NODA Volunteering Works

NODA shifts are based on specific patient need and may not follow a regular schedule

Requests can happen at any time; when a need arises, a notification is sent to all NODA volunteers.

Volunteers may pick up 1–3 hours if they are available, but there is no requirement to respond if they

    cannot

We suggest volunteers maintain a regular schedule as a Companionship Volunteer while keeping oncall availability for NODA

    Why Volunteer

Make a profound difference in a patient’s final moments

Flexible scheduling options to fit your availability

Gain meaningful experience in healthcare, social work, or hospice care

    Requirements

Compassion, reliability, and a willingness to provide calm, supportive presence

    Completion of volunteer training program

    Background check and TB test

For NODA specifically: Must have at least one month (or 4 visits) experience as a Companionship

Volunteer unless they have prior hospice experience

Provide dignity, comfort, and companionship when it matters most – ensure no one dies alone.
