UConn Health Half Marathon, 10K & 5K - Volunteer Opportunity

EVENT INFORMATION

Event: UConn Health Half Marathon, 10K & 5K

Date: Saturday, June 6, 2026

Start/Finish location: Simsbury Performing Arts Center, 22 Iron Horse Boulevard, Simsbury, CT 06070

Runners: 1700 total anticipated

Event Description: The long-time, beloved race tradition on Iron Horse features a picturesque two-loop 13.1 mile course along the Farmington River and local farmlands, with 10K and 5K race distance options. The post-race party is highlighted by delicious food served alongside refreshing craft beer.

Volunteer perks: volunteer t shirt, coffee and breakfast at Volunteer check in, after volunteering enjoy the post race food and drink (21+ with ID), $5 off future HMF Events ($10 for Course Monitors) which may be transferred to family/friends.

• Thursday (6/4) at Fleet Feet West Hartford - Athlete Packet Pickup - 3:15 pm - 6:15pm - distribute bibs and shirts

• Registration - 5:40 am - 7:30 am
• Athlete Beer Tent - 7:15 am - 10:45 am
• Athlete Food Tent - 7:15 am - 10:45 am
• Finish Line - 7:00 am - 10:45 am
• Course Monitor - 6:30 am - 10:30 am
• Athlete Bag Check (Post Race) - 7:30 am -10:30 am
• Kids Race - 8:30 am - 9:30 am
