The Risk Manager is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could impact the operations, reputation, and legal compliance of A Home of Our Own Howard, Inc. The Risk Manager ensures the organization’s policies and practices reflect best-in-class standards in volunteer safety, anti-discrimination, and organizational integrity.
Responsibilities include selecting and procuring appropriate insurance policies for A Home of Our Own Howard, Inc., ensuring waivers are legally compliant, overseeing anti-discrimination policies and safety procedures, monitoring organizational practices to ensure compliance with applicable laws, advising leadership on risk-related issues and providing recommendations, and providing executive leadership for the IT Systems Team.
