Loveworks exists to see middle school students realize their potential and live into their dreams as they develop into leaders. This is done in events, camps, and programs through our three primary approaches to students growth: engaging and relevant character and leadership lessons, hands-on experiential learning opportunities designed to cultivate students’ passions, and raising social awareness through community impact projects. In each of these areas, volunteers such as yourself drive life-change by leading and mentoring students.
Loveworks Afterschool Leadership Program and In-School Leadership Classes kick off in August and run through the school year into May. In our Afterschool Leadership Program, volunteers work directly with students in both small group and large group settings, mentoring and connecting with students while leading them in conversations and activities. Additional roles in this program include riding busses with students to loveworks each day, serving snack and dinner, checking-in students, and setting up environments. This program operates Mon-Thurs from 3:00pm/3:30pm-6:15pm at the Loveworks Center at 219 E Gray St, Norman, OK 73069.
Each semester, Loveworks hosts multiple Leadership and Community Impact events for our students, which area great opportunity to serve for those who are unable to serve during regularly during the week.
In addition to these opportunities, Loveworks regularly needs help in the office with administrative and campus environment projects during our 9am-6pm office hours Mon-Fri.
