Job Title: Board Committee Member

Position Summary
International Child Advancement (ICA) is seeking dedicated individuals to serve as Board Committee Members. Committee Members provide strategic guidance in partnership with the Board of Directors to support ICA’s mission of empowering vulnerable children and youth through education, vocational training and mentorship. This role is ideal for professionals who want to contribute meaningfully without the full responsibilities of board membership.
Key Responsibilities
- Committee Participation
- Actively engage in committee meetings and contribute to discussions and decision-making.
- Support the development and implementation of committee goals aligned with ICA’s strategic plan.
- Provide expertise and insights relevant to the committee’s focus (e.g., Finance, Fundraising, Governance)
- Governance Support
- Assist in monitoring organizational compliance with policies and regulations.
- Help ensure transparency, accountability, and ethical practices within the committee’s scope.
- Collaborate with board members and staff to strengthen ICA’s governance framework.
- Strategic Input
- Offer informed recommendations on initiatives, policies, and programs.
- Participate in evaluating the effectiveness of committee activities and outcomes.
- Support the development of metrics and reporting tools to track progress.
- Advocacy & Outreach
- Promote ICA’s mission within personal and professional networks.
- Support fundraising and partnership-building efforts as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Experience or expertise in areas relevant to the committee’s focus.
- Commitment to ICA’s mission and values.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
- Prior nonprofit or committee experience is a plus.
Term & Commitment
- Committee Members serve a renewable term of 1 year.
- Estimated time commitment: 3–6 hours per month.
- Attendance at committee meetings is expected.
