Volunteer Clinic Escorts help defend a person's right to choose and access vital services, education, and information as well as protect patients' physical safety and mental well-being. Escorts provide a protective barrier for patients and visitors entering the clinic, help keep the driveways and entrances clear for traffic safety, and maintain awareness of suspicious activity. Your main purpose as an Escort is to ensure that patients and visitors gain access to the clinic with the least amount of harassment, stress, confusion, and trauma as possible.
To get started, all volunteers need to complete the online Volunteer Interest Form and attend the virtual General Volunteer Orientation (sign-up link will be provided after the Interest Form is complete). At orientation, we'll go through the variety of volunteer roles across the PPNCS affiliate, our training topics to help you feel prepared for your role, get you your volunteer paperwork, and help pair you with a volunteer role that best fits your needs.
