Hospice Volunteer: In Person or Virtual

We have volunteer opportunities located all across the state of North Carolina! Come and be an essential part of the interdisciplinary team that offers comfort care to our hospice patients. We offer regular in person opportunities in which you will be talking, listening and interacting with our hospice patients. "Virtual" volunteers are able to send letters/cards and become pen pals with our patients from the comfort of your own home. All volunteers have the chance to assist with event, activity planning and administrative work when available.

All volunteers are required to pass a NC background check and complete our online training course. There are no other requirements for "virtual" volunteers. For in person volunteers, you must also have an up-to-date TB Skin test, or otherwise known as a PPD skin test. We offer these free of charge and have Medical/Religious exemptions.

All underage volunteers require parental or Guardian consent/ supervision. Must be 16 years or older.
