Buhler Sunshine Meadows Retirement Home

Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community gives people the opportunity to live with dignity and purpose in a caring community especially designed to meet their needs.

Volunteers are needed to help with various activities in the assisted living and nursing home areas.

• Bus trips-Volunteers will accompany residents under the care of staff on bus trips that are taking residents to different activities.
• One on one visitors-visit w/ residents weekly
• Games-play and lead games like Skip-Bo, Dominoes
• Cooking/Baking-assist with gathering cooking supplies and assist residents that are seeing impaired
• Crafts-Help with various crafts, sometimes with just residents or could also be with residents and school or other groups
• Birthday Party-Volunteer needed to help set up monthly birthday party and also serve dessert and drink.
• BINGO-Volunteers will help residents with finding numbers on the BINGO card on Mondays from 3-4 p.m.
• Bell Choir-Volunteer will need to be willing to play the bells when not enough residents are there to play.
• Song Time-volunteer to help lead singing on Fridays from 3-4 p.m.

Qualifications:

A love of the elderly and a willingness to assist residents. Must enjoy visiting with others and have a pleasant attitude. All volunteers will have a background check completed by Buhler Sunshine Meadows before starting.
