Chicago Debates is looking for Public Forum Judges that help support our Public Forum debate students. The role of the judge is to simply sit in a classroom with two teams (each team consisting of two students), listening to their arguments, taking notes, keeping track of speech times, picking a winner based on their closing arguments, and providing brief verbal feedback!
We pay $15 per round, and offer breakfast/lunch. If you do not have a debate background, we do have a Public Forum Judge Training that you will need to complete prior to the tournament day. You can email Jaguirre@chicagodebates.org to request a live Zoom training.
To sign up, you must first submit your VolunteerLocal Profile. You can view our tournament calendar for event dates/locations/sign up:
If a sign up is not yet live, and you are interested in judging, please email me at Jaguirre@chicagodebates.org.
