Communications Lead for the League of Women Voters of San Francisco

The League of Women Voters of San Francisco is a nonpartisan political nonprofit that encourages informed and active participation in government.

The Communications Committee puts out a monthly newsletter, manages our website and social media, and produces other high-quality branded external materials in coordination with other committees, such as our nonpartisan voter guide. We are currently looking to add volunteers to our Communications Committee, in the hope of finding someone who may become suitable to co-chair the committee and serve on our board.

For the November election, we’re looking for help planning get-out-the-vote social media content, optimizing our email outreach, and improving our website search engine optimization. These are great projects to get to know more about the League, our programs, and our communications.

Helpful skills a volunteer might have, any of which are welcome:

• Writing skills (such as creative, policy, technical, inclusive, or plain language)
• Familiarity with MailChimp
• Website content management (no coding required)
• Social media campaign planning and execution
• Graphic design
• Project management
