Some of the most powerful community change starts with the simplest actions. Walk Your Block Clean is a grassroots neighborhood litter pickup bringing Louisville and Lafayette, Colorado residents together the weekend before Earth Day to care for the streets, sidewalks, and green spaces we all share.
Founded by two neighbors with a belief that showing up for your community does not have to be complicated, Walk Your Block Clean is free, accessible, and open to everyone. No experience required. No complicated logistics. Just neighbors walking their blocks and making their corner of the world a little better.
When: Saturday, April 18th, 9am to 11am Where: Elks Lodge parking lot, Main Street, downtown Louisville, CO Cost:Free
What to expect Supplies including bags, gloves, and grabbers are provided at check in. Walk at your own pace through your own neighborhood. Kids and leashed dogs are very welcome. We are rain or shine.
Why it matters Clean streets are just the beginning. When neighbors show up for shared spaces together, something bigger happens. Connections are made, pride in place grows, and the ripple effect reaches further than any single bag of trash ever could.
Come be part of something simple and meaningful. We will see you outside on April 18th.

Walk Your Block Clean: Volunteer Instructions
Thank you for signing up to Walk Your Block Clean on Saturday, April 18th. Here is everything you need to know to have a great morning.
When and where to arrive Join us at the Elks Lodge parking lot on Main Street in downtown Louisville starting at 9am. Check in at the supply table and we will get you set up and on your way.
What to wear Dress in layers and wear comfortable closed toe walking shoes. We are rain or shine so check the forecast and plan accordingly.
What to bring Nothing! Bags and gloves are provided at check in. If you prefer your own gloves feel free to use them.
Picking up litter Walk at your own pace through your neighborhood streets, sidewalks, and green spaces. Pick up any litter you see along the way.
What to do with full bags When your bag is full, tie it off and leave it at the nearest public trash can or drop it in your own home trash can on your way back. No drop off required.
Safety first
- Do not pick up needles, broken glass, or anything that feels unsafe. Leave it and move on.
- Stay on sidewalks and be aware of traffic
- Keep children close and dogs leashed at all times
