Descripción
Help provide a safe, welcoming place for underserved children in the Waukegan/North Chicago area to gather, share and learn.
Volunteers in this Afterschool Program offer a consistent, caring presence in the lives of our at-risk community kids.
During this drop-in program, volunteers assist in:
- preparing/serving healthy meals
- mentor academics
- engage one-on-one in sewing projects
- instruct yoga/exercise activities
- help with crafts and science experiments
- and, most importantly, engage and connect.
