Our food pantry in the Mission District urgently needs volunteers to help serve around 150 households every Thursday morning, largely from the low-income elderly community.
Volunteers will unload pallets and sort the food to be passed out to each participant. Volunteers will be given one or two items of food to be passed out during distribution. Volunteers may also be asked to assist with check-in, managing distribution lines.
Time frame: Every Thursday - 7:00am-09:00am. Pantry will be closed on November 27th 2025, December 25th 2025 and January 1st 2026.
Volunteers required: 4 volunteers each week.
Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, lift medium-heavy weights and be physically well with no underlying health issues.
The Food Pantry takes place in the at 1325 Valencia St, San Francisco (Garage at 24th & Orange Alley).
