    About A Moment of Magic

A Moment of Magic harnesses the power of play to spark joy, foster connection, reduce isolation, and support the mental health and emotional healing of medically vulnerable children and their families. Our college-chapter network partners with hospitals and nonprofits nationwide to deliver high-quality, dignity-centered programming.

    The Role

The Kingdom Leader (KL) provides strategic oversight and day-to-day coordination for multiple college chapters (“Kingdom”) to ensure consistent, high-quality programming. KLs serve as the primary liaison among chapters, community partners, and the national team—aligning operations to organizational goals and our multi-year strategic plan.

    What You’ll Do

    • Chapter Oversight & Performance
    • Monitor chapter visit volume and quality; review progress monthly against visit targets and OKRs.
    • Ensure all visits are correctly logged in Rosterfy and the Visit Request Database; issue infractions for non-compliance.
    • Confirm adequate volunteer staffing 2+ weeks prior to visits; flag gaps to MECs and Kingdom Support.
    • Partner Communication & Readiness
    • After Program Manager outreach, send KL intros to partners for newer chapters.
    • Ensure pre-visit emails go out to partners at least 1 week in advance (by MEC or CP; send if not sent).
    • Send and track Letters of Support / MOUs every 2–4 weeks as data updates; upload to shared Drive and notify PM once received.
    • Chapter Enablement
    • Maintain a clear picture of each chapter’s needs, capabilities, and resource gaps.
    • Provide resources (templates, Rosterfy access, process guides) so chapters can run consistently excellent visits.
    • Cadence & Accountability
    • Run monthly MEC meetings with other KLs; send calendar invites and reminders via Slack/email; review MEC check-ins and issue infractions if missing.
    • Meet monthly with Maddi and Janice (Chapter Chat).
    • Uphold team norms: respond to email/Slack within 24–48 hours; attend biweekly Visits Team meetings (send notice & update form if absent); set OOO with coverage.

    You Are

    • A systems-thinker who loves checklists, dashboards, and deadlines—and knows how to get chapters across the finish line.
    • A clear, proactive communicator who can coach peers, hold boundaries, and escalate appropriately.
    • Detail-oriented with comfort in basic data hygiene (visit logs, rosters, status reports).
    • Mission-driven with a positive, professional presence on Slack, email, and partner calls.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Experience in any of the following: student leadership, volunteer management, program coordination, hospital/nonprofit partnerships, or operations.
    • Strong written communication; confident sending partner-facing emails and nudging for deliverables.
    • Comfortable using tools like Google Drive and Slack; willing to learn Rosterfy (training provided).
    • Able to commit 5–8 hours/week with reliable responsiveness (24–48 hours).

    Nice to Have

    • Prior experience with pediatric hospitals, child life, psychosocial programming, or SEL.
    • Data-minded: can read a simple dashboard, spot risks, and suggest course corrections.
    • Familiarity with compliance frameworks and documentation standards.

    What You’ll Gain

    • Leadership experience across a multi-chapter network and national program operations.
    • Mentorship and training in trauma-informed, dignity-centered programming.
    • Real-world impact supporting medically vulnerable children and their families.

    General Team Expectations

    • Center AMoM’s mission as your north star.
    • Respond to email/Slack within 24–48 hours (unless otherwise communicated).
    • Attend biweekly Visits Team meetings (or submit update form and notify your lead 24 hours in advance).
    • Arrange coverage and set OOO messages for any extended absence.
