Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled app developer to help build the Army Pink Wellness Portal, a secure, survivor-focused digital platform. The portal will provide tools, resources, and engagement opportunities to support survivors’ mental health, track self-care routines, and connect them with immediate assistance. This is a high-impact, mission-driven opportunity for a developer who wants to create technology that truly saves lives and supports wellness in real time.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain a secure mobile/web app for the Wellness Portal.
- Implement features such as resource libraries, self-care trackers, emergency contacts, and guided wellness activities.
- Collaborate with the Army Pink team to ensure the app is trauma-informed, user-friendly, and privacy-protected.
- Conduct testing, feedback collection, and iterative improvements with survivor input where appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in mobile or web app development, including front-end and back-end programming.
- Knowledge of secure app design, encryption, and data privacy best practices.
- Experience with integrating user-facing features such as notifications, tracking, and dashboards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a mission-driven, remote environment.
- Passion for social impact, mental health, and survivor-focused programs.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with nonprofit or social-impact apps.
- Familiarity with Flutter, React Native, or web app frameworks.
- UX/UI design experience with a focus on accessibility and trauma-informed design.
Time Commitment & Details:
- Hours: Approximately 5–10 hours per week, flexible.
- Duration: Project-based, roughly 2–3 months to develop the initial Wellness Portal MVP.
- Work Location: Fully remote, with occasional virtual check-ins for progress and planning.
- Expectations: Developer will focus on core app functionality, including secure login, basic resource access, self-care trackers, and emergency contacts. Additional features can be phased in after the MVP launch.
