Northwestway Park Litter Cleanup
Descripción
Descripción
Join us at Keep Indianapolis Beautiful to help protect and preserve an important natural resource of Central Indiana--Little Eagle Creek! We will be removing litter along the banks of the creek, where it often collects within vegetation. By picking up litter we will beautify our city while protecting our local ecosystems, including our soil, waterways, plants, and wildlife, from pollution. Litter prevention is one of the easiest things we can do to keep our city clean, but it takes all of us doing our part!
Safety: We highly recommend wearing weather-appropriate clothing, long sleeves and pants, and sturdy boots, as we may work near a steep slopes with dense vegetation. We always recommend bringing a reusable bottle for water but we will have disposable cups available if needed. KIB will provide all supplies, such as litter grabbers, gloves, and trash bags. Rubber boots will be available for those who want to walk along muddy slopes to help pick up litter.
Parking + Facilities: Parking is located at the Northwestway Park Aquatic Center. Restrooms will be available for use.
Transportation Information: IndyGo Bus number 37 stops at Georgetown Rd. and 62nd St, and is a 12 minute walk to the project site. Click here to plan your trip with IndyGo.
- While we love group attendance at volunteer projects, all participants in a group must be registered individually.
