Content Management and SEO Management Job Description and Guidelines

Guidelines apply to all volunteers.
Position Description
Provide web content services to NHEG websites and Google Classroom under the
supervision of the Founder/Executive Director and/or office manager or other staff
member. All delegated tasks must be conducted online under the supervision of New
Heights Educational Group staff, at the NHEG office or other location designated and
agreed upon by all parties. Some of the typical job duties include the following: analyze
user’s needs, design, test, develop and share content to meet those needs; recommend
upgrades for existing programs and systems; design content for each piece of the
application, and plan how the pieces will work together; document every aspect of the
work as a reference for future maintenance and upgrades; collaborate with others on the
team; and take instruction from the team leader.
Qualifications & Requirements
● 2+ years of Web Design Experience or WordPress experience greater than one year
(HTML/CSS/PHP/JavaScript/WordPress Experience )
● Experience in Marketing, Analytics, SEO and etc.
SEO, eCommerce & web development experience. Do you like helping businesses improve their online presence through SEO optimization on platforms like WordPress and Google. eCommerce & web development services include improving speed optimization, experience with digital marketing services, including Google Ads, TikTok Ads, Meta Ads, & more.
● You will need to complete on-page and off-page website SEO optimization! our search engine optimization is
● 1+ years Extensive background in a wide range of WordPress Themes and Plugins
(ex: Yoast, Updraft, Visual Composer, website/image optimization, security)
● Interpersonal skills and Detail-oriented
● Computer skills

Training
All new Content and SEO Managers must participate in a volunteer information session. After
signing up, you should review the job description document in depth.
Fundamentals

The Content and SEO Managers and NHEG arrange work schedules.
- Absences & Punctuality
If you are going to be late or absent, please contact NHEG as soon as possible. Absences
without notification will negatively impact your employment status as a Content
Manager. Please be available at the designated location/virtual meeting at the
appointed time.

If you are an in-person volunteer, we expect you to clean up your workspace before leaving
at the end of the day. All NHEG property must stay at NHEG location unless you
have permission to remove it.
- Dress & Grooming
Please dress professionally. No exposed areas. No clothing that has offensive language. Do
not wear inappropriate makeup or jewelry.
- Conflicts
If you are experiencing difficulties during or as a result of your Content and SEO Manager
assignment, please contact NHEG to work out a solution. Content Managers are
hired as temporary volunteers on an as-needed basis and are not considered
permanent employees of the New Heights Educational Group, Inc. Resource and
Literacy Center. However, you are a valued member of our team, and we want you
to have a positive experience while you are with us.

Whenever possible, NHEG seeks to provide content managers with necessary software. All
software is for NHEG purposes only. Any special needs should be brought to the
attention of NHEG staff.
The Content Manager’s Rights
1. Every content manager has the right to be treated with respect by the NHEG staff
members and volunteers. If a problem arises, all staff members will treat it with
confidentiality and fairness.
The Volunteer’s Rights
1. Every volunteer has the right to be treated with respect by content managers and NHEG
office staff.
2. You will lose your right to do your designated tasks if you repeatedly do not respond to
email.
Evaluations
NHEG provides volunteer letters of references. We try to send out positive comments and
