We are seeking a dedicated individual to join me as an apprentice on a spiritual and service-oriented path through Obu Lamu, rooted in the ancestral healing traditions of Africa, guided by Bantu lineage wisdom. This is not a job, a hobby, or a casual exploration — it is a calling.
The right candidate:
- Is already on a spiritual path and committed to ongoing self-mastery.
- Is ready to devote themselves to discipline, service, and loyalty.
- Is open-minded, humble, and willing to learn the ancestral medicines and healing practices we honor.
- Wishes to engage in long-term work, healing communities and supporting the growth of others.
What you will receive:
- Personal mentorship and guidance in ancestral and spiritual practices.
- Direct initiation into service through Obu Lamu’s community and projects.
- Non-monetary support, including accommodation and meals, to ensure you are able to focus fully on learning, growth, and service.
- A space to grow, heal, and contribute meaningfully to collective work.
- A journey of growth: Successful completion of the apprenticeship can open the door to advanced apprenticeship, recognition as a healer, and eventual initiation, depending on your growth, dedication, and alignment with the path. This is a long-term journey of learning, service, and spiritual mastery.
Expectations:
- Total dedication to the apprenticeship and its path of service for as long as you are part of it. Your focus should remain aligned with the spiritual and community work of Obu Lamu.
- Full-hearted commitment and ethical alignment with the principles of Obu Lamu.
- Willingness to integrate spiritual practice into daily life.
- Respect for the sacredness of the work, the community, and all life.
Trial period:
- The apprenticeship begins with a 9-month trial period, after which alignment, growth, and readiness to continue will be reviewed.
- Participation is voluntary; you may choose to leave at any time.
If you feel called, please send a brief letter of intention to obu.lamu.ke@gmail.com outlining:
- Your spiritual path and experience so far.
- Why you feel ready to commit fully to service and apprenticeship.
- How you see yourself contributing to ancestral healing and community work.
This is a serious and sacred journey — not everyone is ready, and that is respected. Only those truly aligned will be invited to join this path.
